This is why I do not hate Caillou as a character This is what Caillou is. He is literally a more accurate depiction of a child his age. He is an asshole and a little shit but I find him charming. I like his personality and the good moments that he has. Even though sometimes they're rare are pretty cute This is why I loved Caillou as a character. His emotions were on a wheel and he yes he acted selfish but he also acted kind sometimes I know there's probably a lot of differences between Caillou and muffin but I feel like there is similarities there that can be drawn

Mini Bluey also has the undertones of "Bluey is the problem child" [not that her family thinks so, but you get what I mean] which is something neurodivergent kids often face, or are even told by family and others. As for Bingo, it's hard to say, since her struggles are ones neurotypical kids of that age may face as well, but she does seem quite emotionally and Intellectually mature for her age, but again, she has great parents.

As an animator who knows a couple people in young children’s entertainment, in my experience it’s never the decent kid’s shows like Bluey or Arthur that have weird or adult themes hidden in them, it’s the low hanging fruit stuff like Caillou or Peppa Pig. The writers and animators have their brain cells rotted by working long hours on such a crappy show so they sprinkle in funny inside jokes to spice things up and keep their sanity intact. A good example is in Despicable Me where the minions do a bunch of gay stuff in the background throughout the movie lol. Jokes like that are a lot rarer with shows that are actually fun to work on and have better S&P like Bluey.

So when people question your behavior, while you have an explanation, you don’t UNDERSTAND that explanation. Leading you to feel like a failure or like a “bad kid”. Well guess what? YOU’RE NOT!! We as neurodivergent people need to empower ourselves! We got this, there’s NOTHING wrong with us!! Embrace our quirks, accommodations, struggles, and uniqueness!!

I wasn’t expecting to relate so much, but knowing I’m not the only one who lost their mom while she was alive makes me feel so much less alone. It’s hard to explain to other people the grief and complicated feelings that come along with that; i think it’s something you’d have to experience to fully understand, but I’m so sorry that you did. My mom stopped taking care of me when I was 11 after several of her family members moved in with us and when she became aware that I was struggling with SH. She became a completely different person - here physically, but absent in every other sense of the word. Unfortunately even before this shift in her, I had learned that that home wasn’t a safe place. Despite many years of therapy I never really understood what people meant when they talked about healing their inner child - until Bluey. It somehow gives me back parts of my childhood that I wasn’t consciously aware that I had lost, including my sense of safety. Seeing the gentleness, consideration, and unwavering love Chili (and Bandit) shows towards Bluey and Bingo is comforting on a level that words can’t describe. My relationship with my mom is still so strained to this day and I don’t know if it will ever be repaired, but Bluey gives me a sense of hope and comfort that no matter what happens, healing is possible. It’s astonishing how much a silly cartoon aimed towards children has changed me as a person, but I’m so grateful for it. As i am for your videos! They always offer insight into the characters, their struggles, and the emotional takeaway from the show. It’s so evident how much work you put into each and every video, thank you for all that you do! 💚 And as someone who was also recently diagnosed with autism at 25 I totally agree on it being a freeing experience! It’s allowed me to learn so much more about myself and the way my brain works.

Im a grown man, but when I saw this episode, it made me cry. I have always struggled with adhd and saw a representation of myself on tv for the first time watching it. It was so accurate to how I was as a kid and even some of the struggles I still have. I'd never seen a proper portrayal of ADHD up to that point in any media in my life. I was watching it with my friends kid to keep them occupied and give em some company while their parents grabbed a nap during a long vacation we all took. I didn't know I wanted to ever be recognized till that point.
